NaviCard app user manual
The NaviCard is a small picture card that has been developed for photo based navigation. The card contains compact information regarding a location, and contains the coordinates of a location in a bar code.

Navigation using the NaviCard card
Open start screen of NaviCard app...

Enter the scan view...

...and point the camera of your device at a NaviCard card.

You will hear a beep, following which your device switches to navigation and takes you to the location shown on the card.

The same will happen if you use a NaviCard stamp or NaviCard business card, or find a NaviCard bar code in an advertisement, on an invitation card, ticket, or your computer's screen.

Navigation using digital photographs
You can also use the photos stored in your device's albums for navigation. If you have videos in addition to photos, you can also use them.

Enter scanner view and touch the screen.

In the album that opens, find the image of the location where you would like to go.

Navigation will launch immediately as soon as you touch the selected image, and will take you to the location shown on the image.

You will immediately see if your photo album contains photos that are non-compatible with the navigation function, because these will be marked. If you would like to make your photos navigation compliant, allow your device's camera to use Location Services (GPS) data. You can access the required settings here: Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Camera > finally, check While Using the App option.

Saving
You can save printed NaviCard cards in a digital format in your album so that you can retrieve them at any time and use them for navigation.

Enter scanner view, tap and hold the screen.

When the four edge marks appear, point the camera at the NaviCard. Orient your device so that the code is parallel with one of the sides of the screen. You will hear a sound effect...

and the edge marks will turn green. This indicates that the card has been saved.

You can also save all other printed materials and objects that have a NaviCard bar code on their surface.

Sharing
If you send your photo or the image of a saved NaviCard card to a friend, they will also be able to use them for navigation.

Enter scanner view and touch the screen. Tap and hold an image in the album that opens. The "Send" option will appear above the image. Touch this to send the photo immediately to your friend.

Selecting Navigation

Based on the default setting, iOS will use its own "Maps" navigation to take you to your destination. However, you can set this up to be different.

Enter the Settings view and locate the other navigation applications available on your device.

Selects the one that you would like. If you are offline, a red dot will indicate those applications that are not working. In this case, select one that isn't marked.

Off road navigation also works offline without a digital map. Always use this in exotic countries where the necessary infrastructure is lacking.

Share your experiences gathered using the NaviCard application with others, because the more users there are, the more great opportunities will open up for you, too.
